- October 2011: A World of Prayer
Ros recently completed the sequel to Mosaic: a global version called A World of Prayer. This interfaith book is a compilation of favourite prayers, reflections, insights and wisdom chosen by over 100 world spiritual leaders, activists and humanitarians from different religious traditions around the world.
Contributors include Nobel Peace laureates the Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela, Mairead Maguire and Lech Walesa; spiritual leaders such as the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Rev’d Rowan Williams, Fethullah Gulen, Rabbi David Rosen, Dadi Janki, Sr Joan Chittister OSB, Fr Dan Berrigan SJ, Fr Laurence Freeman OSB, Dr Joanna Macy, and Daisaku Ikeda; and activists Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens); Zainah Anwar and Professor Chandra Muzaffar from Malaysia; Dr Tariq Ramadan, Pete Seeger, Elizabeth May, Swami Agnivesh and Dr Inderjit Kaur plus many other “quiet achievers.”
A World of Prayer will be published by the renowned Catholic publisher Orbis books who are based in New York. The book is scheduled to be released in May 2012.
- March 2011: Global Mosaic
Ros has nearly completed Global Mosaic, the sequel to Mosaic. Over 90 humanitarians from different religious traditions from around the world have contributed their favourite prayer or inspiration and their personal reflections on their chosen text. The purpose of Global Mosaic is to show the common humanity amongst the different religions and to build bridges towards peace and mutual respect. Aiming for 100 contributions, Ros plans to complete the manuscript in September 2011.
Contributors include the Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Rev’d Dr Rowan Williams, Fr Dan Berrigan SJ, Nelson Mandela through the Nelson Mandela Foundation, Mairead Maguire, Fethullah Gülen, Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), HAH Bartholomew and Sr Joan Chittister OSB, Rabbi David Rosen, Sogyal Rinpoche and Bhai Sahib Mohinder Singh.
The renowned international publisher Orbis Books, based in New York will publish Global Mosaic. Orbis Books is a non-profit religious publisher owned by the Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America. Planned publishing date is Spring (northern hemisphere) 2012. Watch this space!
- January 2011: Interfaith Dialogue
Ros appeared at the final session of a week long course on Interfaith Dialogue, organised by The United Theological College, School of Theology, Charles Sturt University. The panel included 4 Christian Interfaith practitioners.
She continues to be Secretary of Companions in Dialogue, a small group of interfaith practitioners who share and support each other in their work and hold occasional seminars on spiritual matters.
- March 2010: Global Mosaic
Ros is continuing to work on the second book, Global Mosaic. Confirmed contributions have come from Dr Muhammad Ashafa (Nigeria), Fr Daniel Berrigan SJ (USA), Rev Marcus Braybrooke (UK), Dr Sheila Cassidy (UK), Chea Vannath (Cambodia), Sr Joan Chittister OSB (USA), Rev Boyet Concepcion (Philippines), Fr John Dear SJ (USA), Dr Rubina Gillani (Pakistan), Richard Holloway (Scotland), Dr Hans Küng (Germany), Didacienne Mukabeshimana (Rwanda), Dr Jenny Plane Te Paa (NZ), Sogyal Rinpoche (Tibet), Rabbi David Rosen (Israel) Archbishop Desmond Tutu (South Africa), Prof Chris O’Brien (Australia) and 15 others, plus commitments from 16 other contributors.
- July 2009: Global Mosaic
Ros is currently researching a second book, which is a follow up to Mosaic. Called Global Mosaic, this book will include favourite prayers and reflections chosen by inspiring world humanitarians from different faiths and backgrounds. All suggestions welcome and will be considered.
- March 2009: Workshop, Brisbane
Ros will hold a workshop with Religious Education Coordinators about Mosaic and inter-faith dialogue.
- May 2008: EREMOS Magazine
Eremos Institute is an ecumenical association with its roots in Christianity, offering a forum and support for individuals and communities to explore, express and deepen their spirituality within an Australian context. Ros had an article published in issue 103 of the magazine about the joys and tribulations of compiling Mosaic. read the article | Eremos
